While they continue to rape race fans with high ticket prices, and try to get the poor taxpayers to pay to build new race tracks in various cities (so far the taxpayers have told them to go pound sand) International Speedway Corp. (ISC) Thursday released its earnings report for Q3, which saw profits of $38.8M, or $0.79 a share, up 308.4% from $9.5M, or $0.18 per share, in Q3 '07. Revenue rose 9% to $213.2M, up from $195.6M in the year-ago period. ISC cautioned that the weak economy is holding back spending by (raped) racing fans" who are finally starting to wise up.
