Dennis to attend Malaysia GP after all

(GMM) Ron Dennis will attend the Malaysian grand prix this weekend, despite briefing reporters a week ago in Australia that he had to return home to England.

It is understood that the McLaren team boss did indeed fly back to Europe to attend to unspecified personal issues following last Sunday's Melbourne race.

He is now en route to Kuala-Lumpur and will be on the pitwall on Sunday, a team spokeswoman confirmed.

Dennis, 60, might even be at the circuit in time for Saturday qualifying, a source said.

Meanwhile, after missing the 2008 season opener last week, F1 chief executive Bernie Ecclestone arrived at the Sepang circuit on Friday.
