Notes from Sebring testing – Transition teams

The Champ Car teams making the switch to the IRL had their first day of testing today at Sebring in their IndyCars (See reports on Home page). Here are some afternoon notes.

Sounds like these teams have had their work cut out for them……scarcity of parts…..learning new systems and all…..not only that but it sounds like they have many hours and days ahead of them before seeing home. They leave Sebring and go to Homestead for practice…then the Homestead race…..then St. Pete.

Oriol Servia has a picture of Salvador Dali on his helmet…Servia's home is in the same area of Spain where the famous painter lived. Did you know that St. Petersburg, Florida has the biggest collection of his art outside Spain.

Drivers on track today:

KV Racing Technology….Oriol Servia (Spain)…Will Power (Australia)

Dale Coyne Racing….Bruno Junqueira (Brazil)….Mario Moraes (Brazil)

Conquest Racing….Franck Perera (France)…. Enrique Bernoldi (Brazil)

The KV Racing Technology drivers were on track a lot today…much less for the Dale Coyne Racing drivers with Moraes not getting out at all before we left for the day. The Conquest Racing drivers were out on track very little.

Fans wanted a lot of pictures of Oriol…..at least the female fans did…..see our PM report on our Home page.
