Nakajima punished for Kubica crash

(GMM) Kazuki Nakajima will fall ten places down next Sunday's Malaysian grand prix grid, stewards in Melbourne declared after the 2008 season opener.

At the end of the third safety car period in Australia, the Japanese rookie's Williams crashed into the rear of the BMW Sauber of Robert Kubica, forcing the Pole to retire.

Afterwards, Nakajima explained that the incident was caused by cars "backing up into each other".

Stewards decided to penalize him by docking him ten grid positions at Sepang next weekend.
