Roger Yasukawa lands ride for Motegi

Roger Yasukawa will race with Greg Beck Motorsports at Motegi this year via an agreement with Wellman Racing.

The official story at IndyCar.com does not mention Indy, but we hear it may be added.

"Roger and I are excited to partner with Interush and Beck Motorsports for the Indy Japan 300," Wellman Racing owner Derek Wellman said. "With the unification of the IRL and Champ Car World Series, we feel the popularity of the series will only grow stronger and provide sponsors with a greater value proposition."

This team has been added to our 2008 IndyCar Silly Season page.

"When the opportunity presented itself to work with Roger, we jumped at the chance," team owner Greg Beck said. "Roger has proven himself to be a very capable driver and we look forward to giving him the best results possible. Roger and Derek have been working to put a solid program together for several years. Now, with the help of Interush and Phytter, their hard work is paying off."
