Cadillac sweeps EyesOn Design awards with new CTS

General Motors Corp. continued to collect honors at the North American International Auto Show today, with Cadillac winning design awards for concept and production versions of its CTS. The Cadillac 2009 CTS-V won best production car, and the CTS coupe won best concept car in the EyesOn Design awards, sponsored by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology.

“Design has come back," at GM, said John Manoogian, Cadillac’s director of exterior design.

The BMW X6, what the German automaker calls a “sport activity coupe," beat out the new Dodge Ram and Ford F-150 as best production truck in the awards,

Chrysler’s ecoVoyager won for best concept truck design.
