Albers splits with manager
The move follows differences with the Spyker driver's manager Lodewijk Varossieau, according to the Dutch magazine Formule 1 Race Report.
Dutchman Albers entered formula one with Minardi in 2005, but the 28-year-old has been managed by Varossieau's company GR8 Industries for the past nearly seven years.
"We are incredibly proud of everything that we have achieved with Christijan," Varossieau said, "both sporting and commercial.
"We have gotten the maximum out of the relation, and hopefully new management can help him with the next and perhaps most important step in his career.
"We hope that he will score the first points for Spyker and then get the chance to drive to the podium next year.
"But already, regarding sponsorship and merchandising, he is the most successful Dutch driver ever."
