Fierberg to pay off bet at Buttonwillow

Formula 2000 Pacific competitor Ira Fierberg will pay off a lost bet with Star Mazda driver Cole Morgan at the upcoming round of the F2000 Pacific Series at the exciting Buttonwillow Raceway Park Circuit May 5-6.

Fierberg, an alumnus of UCLA, bet Morgan, a University of Florida Student, on the outcome of the UCLA-Florida Basketball game in the Final Four of the recent NCAA Championships. Florida won the game handily. Accordingly, Fierberg is obligated to run his Dave Freitas Racing RF-05 Van Diemen at the Buttonwillow races with Morgan's name emblazoned on the sidepods. Morgan's name will be in pink, per Morgan's request. Morgan will be at Buttonwillow to witness Fierberg's embarrassment and to gloat as much as possible.

Fierberg stated, "I hope that Cole's name on the car brings us good luck. If so, we may well run his name all season. If not, I will personally peel the stickers off before the tires cool".
