Darlington eyes repaving

Darlington Raceway officials are seriously considering repaving the most notorious racing surface in NASCAR, track president Chris Browning confirmed Tuesday. The decision has nothing to do with the track's abrasiveness. The track surface has begun to slide down the banking. "The track is weathered and the surface is slipping, which is causing bumpiness," Browning said. "We're definitely looking at the prospect of repaving." ESPN.com
