Yeley, Busch lead Busch testing

J.J. Yeley posted the fastest speed in the final Busch Series test session at Daytona International Speedway, drafting to the top of the speed chart Tuesday afternoon with a lap of 187.130 mph. Yeley, driving the No. 1 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet, and Erik Darnell were the only drivers to top 187 mph Tuesday. Darnell, testing the No. 06 Roush Racing Ford for Mark Martin, had a fast lap of 187.099.

Cale Gale (Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevrolet) was third at 186.924, Carl Edwards (Roush Racing Ford) was fourth at 186.858, with Bill Elliott (Evernham Motorsports Dodge) fifth at 186.749.

Kyle Busch ended the five-day test session with the fastest speed, going 187.919 mph in the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

The Busch season opens Feb. 17 with the Orbitz 300 at Daytona.
