‘R27’ makes proper test debut at Jerez

(GMM) With the exception of a brief shakedown at Silverstone last week, Renault's unlaunched 'R27' made its test debut on Tuesday at Jerez.

In the hands of Giancarlo Fisichella, the attractive car – in an interim dark blue and yellow livery – was joined on the Spanish circuit this morning by Williams' rookie test driver Kazuki Nakajima.

With its lower nose and unique rear-view mirror attachments, the 'R27' also features Ferrari-like controversial rear wheel fairings, despite the team's criticism of the innovation last year.
