FIA gears up for Center of Excellence summit

Max Mosley, President of the FIA and Professor Gérard Saillant, FIA Institute Deputy President, are to headline the FIA Institute Centre of Excellence Summit.

The summit will focus on risk management in sport and will welcome attendees from the world of motor sport as well as representatives from other sports where risk management is a fundamental issue. Senior representatives of the International Olympic Committee and representatives of various national Governments will also be invited to attend.

The program will cover a wide range of subjects in this area. It will examine what type of sport should be considered high risk, take a look at the legal and insurance issues relating to those risks, and look at universal ways to help prevent and limit the risks and establish best practice.
