Sammy Hagar adds Formula BMW team too

Team KMA principals Ingo Strackerjan and Jon Lewis announced today that the famous Cabo Wabo Cantina owned by legendary rocker Sammy Hagar will be a sponsor of the Formula BMW team. In a simultaneous announcement today, it was announced that Sammy Hagar has also become a co-owner of the Indy Pro Series race car to be campaigned by Team KMA in 2007.

“It’s really exciting to announce the Cabo Wabo Cantina as an associate sponsor," stated Lewis. “Besides being a music icon and car fanatic, this truly demonstrates Sammy Hagar’s belief in supporting young talented athletes. As a sponsor of our Formula BMW Team and a co-owner of our Indy Pro Series racecar, this further enhances the ladder system we have established for our drivers to successfully progress in their careers."

Team KMA also announced today that the Formula BMW operation will focus on the three drivers selected in last month’s shootout; Mike Hill, Julia Landauer and Jeffrey Petriello for 2007. “We don’t foresee adding a forth car," said Strackerjan. “We have what we believe are three extremely talented young drivers that work well together and are focused on being a TEAM. We see a great future in them and will give them 100% of our focus to succeed."
