Toyota should sign Schu as ‘advisor’
Jochen Mass, who was Germany's top grand prix racer before Schumacher hit the scene, said the Japanese squad need more than Michael's brother Ralf and a mammoth budget to succeed in formula one.
"(At Toyota) too much money is senselessly spent," Mass, 60, told the EUROSPORT MotorMagazin.
He added: "Perhaps they should give Michael Schumacher $50 million to be their advisor. Maybe he can make something happen for them."
Toyota debuted in F1 in 2002 and is yet to win a race. Schumacher, who turned 38 on Wednesday, will be used by Ferrari as an "assistant" to team chief Jean Todt this year.
