Liz Halliday Grid Girls auction

She’s won more times than any other female in the history of the American Le Mans Series. She’s finished higher at the historic Mobil 1Twelve Hours of Sebring than any female in history, surpassing greats such as Janet Guthrie and Lyn St. James. She’s fighting, along with teammate Clint Field, for an outright American Le Mans Series championship in LMP2.

Liz Halliday is recognized as the world’s premier female sports car driver and her quest also to become a member of the USA Olympic Equestrian team may make her the world’s top two-sport female athlete. This week’s Salvation Army Grid Kids auction on Ebay.com features three autographed items by this top young talent:

* A Liz Halliday racing suit worn in American Le Mans competition. * A pair of Liz Halliday racing gloves worn in competition. * The official Liz Halliday Racing logoed baseball cap.

Bidding for these items will be open through 10:00 p.m. EDT Monday, October 2. Opening bids will be $1,500 (racing suit); $85 (racing gloves); and $30 (baseball cap).

All proceeds from the auctions benefit the Salvation Army Grid Kids and are used to enhance centers for less advantaged young people. The Salvation Army Grid Kids is the official charity of the American Le Mans Series.
