Shell takes its potent fuel to Germany
This proven fuel now gives Shell an excellent platform from which to move forward. The Shell Formula One team will be monitoring its progress closely this weekend in Germany.
"We were very competitive and that’s thanks to a lot of us, our many partners, starting with Shell, who came up with a new fuel, some more horsepower," said Michael Schumacher after his Imola victory.
As for the engine oil, the Nürburgring Formula One circuit has undergone many changes over the years. Although today’s modern circuit is often overshadowed by the infamous history of the original circuit, it is by no means an easy race for the cars. This circuit offers a combination of semi fast corners and tight bends which can be particularly demanding on Formula One engines.
This year, the race will be held several weeks earlier than usual. Weather conditions are notoriously unpredictable.
Shell will be retaining engine oil Helix SL-0932 and gearbox oil Spirax L6285. This lubricant combination worked successfully in San Marino alongside the new V-Power fuel to help Ferrari onto the podium. Shell
