Home Depot to activate around Stewart championship

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart finished 15th in yesterday’s season-ending Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, securing his second Nextel Cup title in the past four years. Today, The Home Depot, primary sponsor of Stewart’s No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing-owned Chevrolet, announced that it will sell three fantasy gift packages for $62,500 apiece that include a custom replica of Stewart’s Monte Carlo, a vacation package to the February 26 Auto Club 500 at California Speedway and the chance to meet Stewart before that race. The packages go on sale December 1 at www.homedepot.com/nascargift, as well as in the company’s direct mail catalog.
