HVM signs Bremer for 2006
Bremer, 26, of Copenhagen, Denmark joined the HVM team at the beginning of the 2005 Champ Car season and completed the first five races for the team, where he earned three top ten finishes, including a seventh place finish in his Champ Car debut at Long Beach.
Due to certain circumstances HVM is unable to continue running him in an HVM entry this season. Although he is currently under contract with HVM, he has been released for this race initially to continue his rookie endeavors in the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series, Powered by Ford. “We have developed a very good relationship with Ronnie. We recognize his talent, he’s done a great job for us on the track and he is a good representative of our team and partners off the track, so it was important for us to secure his services and make sure he is part of the future of HVM Racing," commented team owner and managing director, Keith Wiggins.
Bremer’s rookie campaign continues, he is driving the #19 American Medical Response entry for Dale Coyne Racing at this weekends inaugural West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix, he commented on today’s announcement, “I am thankful to Keith (Wiggins) and HVM Racing for giving me the opportunity to participate in the Champ Car World Series. I am a product of the Champ Car Ladder System and this series is the most competitive series in the world, this is where I want to be. While I wish I could have continued this season with HVM, I appreciate the opportunity to continue my battle for the Roshfrans Rookie of the Year with Dale Coyne Racing and I look forward to my return to HVM Racing as a Champ Car driver in 2006."
