UPDATE The 'final' rating for the Toronto Champ Car race on CBS last Sunday in the USA was a 1.0/3 share, which is the highest rated race for Champ Car of the year so far. Mark C. 07/11/05 The overnight rating for Champ Car's Molson Indy Toronto race in Toronto Sunday on CBS was a 1.0/3 share (up from 0.9/2 share for last race in Cleveland), which isn't too bad when compared to its miniscule numbers on SPEED Channel. Champ Car has shown a steady increase (higher rating for 3rd race in row) for its CBS TV ratings and if it were to increase the number of races on CBS next year, perhaps they can grow these ratings into something more meaningful. The constant switching between networks does no one any good. Mark C.
