Transporters arrive in Edmonton

Only two days after the Toronto Molson Indy, transporters carrying Champ Cars began crossing their own finish line as they arrived in Edmonton last night. "It is a tough trip but we're all excited about coming to Edmonton," said RuSPORT team president Jeremy Dale, a born and raised Torontonian.

If things go according to plan, teams won't have to race across the country to make it to the next edition of the Grand Prix of Edmonton. Next season's Champ Car campaign could be adjusted slightly to make things a little easier for the teams to trek from Toronto out west. The races in Cleveland and Toronto are expected to move to back-to-back weekends with a week off before Edmonton gets rumbling again. Teams would then make their way to San Jose for a race right after the event here. More at Edmonton Sun
