The TEAM program details for 2011 were announced this week and they include a partial scholarship for the Firestone Indy Lights champion to race in the IZOD IndyCar Series the following year.

Word is that it will be retroactive to include the 2010 champion JK Vernay from France. The scholarship is only for about $500k so he will need to bring more money to the table to secure a full-time ride.

As such one can assume he will run with a team such as Dale Coyne, Panther, Sarah Fisher, HVM or Conquest.

On the road courses Vernay had Indy Lights runner-up's James Hinchcliffe's number all season, but on the ovals he was not so dominant, but that is more a factor of him coming over from France and never having raced on ovals until this year. With more practice you can bet he'll get the job done there too.
