Anders Krohn to Race in Star Mazda

Anders Krohn is happy to announce that he will return to North America for the 2009-season where he will be racing for Texas-based Mundill Racing in the Pro Formula Star Mazda Series (Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear).

“It’s a dream come true to be able to compete in Star Mazda with Mundill. We worked very well together when I tested for the team earlier this month, and I can’t wait to get started!" said an excited Anders Krohn

The Norwegian racing driver who has earned the name “The Viking", won last year’s U.S. Formula 2000 Championship in a dominating fashion, taking nine wins in 14 races. The Star Mazda Championship has 13 races over 11 weekends, and will have races on Ovals, Street-courses and Road-courses. The car features a 1.3 liter Mazda “Renesis" rotary engine that produces 250 bhp, and with a weight of only 1090 lbs/490 kgs, it makes for a very fast open-wheel racing car.
