Mathiasen Motorsports to test Jonathan Bomarito

Mathiasen Motorsports is pleased to announce they will be testing Jonathan Bomarito in their #26 Swift 016 at the final pre-season test session scheduled for March 25-26 at MSR Houston. The announcement has both the crew, from their new shop in Brownsburg, Indiana and owners Ray and Leslie Mathiasen , from their office in Encino, CA excited about this opportunity. “We feel very fortunate that we will have had the opportunity to test two top caliber drivers like Jonathan Bomarito and Alan Scuito during the pre-season testing sessions this winter. Our entire team is extremely motivated as we position ourselves as serious contenders for the 2008 Atlantic Championship", said team owners Ray and Leslie Mathiasen.

Jonathan Bomarito has a great deal of experience in the Atlantic Championship, with 31 career Atlantic starts, two victories, one pole position and a total of eight podium finishes. In 2007, Bomarito finished fifth in the championship with a victory from the pole position in San Jose. Jonathan had originally signed with Sierra Sierra Enterprises to run the 2008 campaign, but their decision not to field a team this season made the talented driver available. He was considered an early favorite to win the 2008 championship, and is still hungry for an opportunity to be a front runner in the series. “I am very excited to be back in the Atlantic car and series.
