Fans like improved TV quality

Dear AutoRacing1.Com, As a die-hard fan of Champ Car I wanted to take a moment to thank Champ Car and NBC for what I think have been two of the best open wheel road race broadcasts to have aired on network television in a long, LONG time! Both the Long Beach and Vegas broadcasts on NBC were very well produced (great camera positions) and I think Champ Car has (FINALLY!) found the right combination of personalities in the booth. PLEASE, don't change a thing! I just hope it all carries over to the upcoming telecasts on the other networks! To everyone at Champ Car and particularly Mark Reilly, "Well Done!" To NBC: GIVE US MORE CHAMPCAR! J.N. Anderson, Shaker Heights, Ohio

Another writes, A friend said that the Detroit NBC station did not air the Long Beach race on Sunday. Following the Red Wings game they ran paid programming. Can't get ratings if you don't have coverage. Did Roger Penske pull strings in Detroit to ensure the race was not shown since he arranged an IRL race in Detroit? I would not put anything past Penske. I hear it is he, and not Tony George, that is really standing in the way of a merger, contrary to what Roger says to the media. He's a very bad man. Donald H.
