NASCAR: Discount Tire to continue sponsorship at Team Penske
Austin Cindric makes his move to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022, driving the Discount Tire No. 2 Team Penske Ford Mustang. [Discount Tire is] excited to support Austin in his rookie season and look forward to seeing him in victory lane. Discount Tire holds the primary sponsorship position for 13 races for the 2022 season.

He has gained valuable experience this year (2021) competing in a handful of races at the Cup level and he has shown that he belongs out there.”
Cindric raced his way to success in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, clinching the Driver’s and Owners’ Championship in 2020. He also secured the NXS Owners’ Championship for Roger Penske in 2021 with 5 wins, bringing his total career Xfinity stats to 13 wins, 62 top-five and 89 top-10 finishes. For a young driver he has accumulated a wide variety of experience, racing in Global Rallycross, Australia Supercars, the IMSA Sportscar Series, the ARCA Racing Series, the NASCAR Pro Series and the NASCAR Truck Series.
2022 marks Blaney’s seventh full-time NASCAR Cup Series season and his 11th with Team Penske. Discount Tire holds the primary sponsorship position on the No. 12 Ford Mustang for two playoff races in 2022.
With 3 wins, 11 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes in 2021, Ryan has steadily moved up the leaderboard and is in prime position for a dynamite 2022. He has qualified for the Cup Series playoffs in each of the last five consecutive seasons (2017-2021.) Blaney is the first driver since Jeff Gordon (2007) to post back-to-back victories at Talladega.
