Rumor: Juncos Hollinger Racing to announce re-signing of Ilott (Update)

This rumor is upgraded to ‘fact’ with today’s announcement that Callum Ilott has re-signed with the Juncos Hollinger IndyCar team for 2023 and 2024.

During the press conference about the announcement of Ilott’s extension, the team made it clear their goal is to expand to a 2nd car in 2023 – the 2nd part of our rumor below.

Stay tuned to AR1.com as we wait to see if Marcus Armstrong is that 2nd driver. It will come down to sponsorship and team personnel.

According to AutoRacing1.com sources, rumor has it that Juncos Hollinger Racing will soon announce that they have re-signed driver Callum Ilott for 2023.

There is also a rumor that the team would like to expand to two cars in 2023 and Marcus Armstrong is rumored to be high on their list.

Armstrong left the Ferrari Driver Academy earlier this year.  Armstrong, 21, joined Ferrari’s young driver program in 2017, and has spent the last two years racing in FIA Formula 2.

The New Zealander currently sits 10th in the 2022 F2 standings and is looking for his next career move as F2 is now a dead-end for him.
