IndyCar: Rahal to Build Businesses in Zionsville, IN

Graham Rahal, son of IndyCar racer Bobby Rahal and driver of the RLL number 15 entry, has announced that he will be making a large investment in some property located in Zionville, Indiana.  The acres of land are across the street from the new Rahal Letterman Lanigan race shop currently under construction.

The younger Rahal is president of GR Brands, which will build a 115,000-square-foot headquarters on lots 10 and 11 in Creekside Corporate Park.   This is an investment of $15-20 million and will bring 80 to 100 high-tech jobs to Zionsville.

Rahal’s new facility will serve as headquarters for Rahal’s various companies, housing Graham Rahal Performance (GRP), Rahal Ducati Indianapolis, Rahal Paint Protection, and the Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation.  The building will include an automotive center with specialty sales and service for both four-wheeled vehicles and motorcycles, an auto spa for detailing, installation of paint protection film, ceramic coatings, and window tinting, indoor vehicle storage, an auto-themed restaurant, and small event space, Rahal Racing Museum and corporate offices.

“With our state known as the “Racing Capital of the World,” it is a strong fit to have both Graham Rahal Brands and the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing located in Creekside Corporate Park in this uniquely Zionsville setting,” said Mayor Emily Styron. “I am very excited about this project and other projects in the works for Creekside Corporate Park.”

AR1 spoke with Rahal this evening about the exciting news and asked where he planned to reside.  “I have a house in Zionsville and I love it there.  For me, it has been home.”

“It is a beautiful thing to have all of my works five minutes down the road from my house in a town that we genuinely love, the little city.   We are going to add to it by putting a restaurant, a cool industrial motorsports themed bar and grill would be very popular.  It is something that we need in Zionsville.  I think it would be good.”

AR1 then asked what the name of this bar and grill would be.  “I think it should be called the Loose Nut,” replied Rahal.  “I feel like that is a perfect thing for both racing and people who have had too much to drink!  But as of now, no name has been chosen.”

GR Brands plans to break ground this fall with a move-in goal of spring 2024.
