Haupert Autosport, formed by So-Cal property developer Rexco Development has entered into a strategic partnership to purchase an interest in Bryan Herta Autosport’s INDYCAR program.

The Haupert family joins Herta as co-owners of the company. The investment will not affect the team’s partnership with Andretti Autosport in fielding the #98 U.S. Concrete Honda w/Curb Agajanian IndyCar driven by Marco Andretti.

As INDYCAR commences the 2020 championship this weekend, it wraps up an ‘off-season’ that saw several positive revelations leading to increased interest in the series and its competitors including an acquisition of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and NTT INDYCAR SERIES by the Roger Penske led Penske Entertainment Corp.

“INDYCAR is on such an upward trajectory and I feel very strongly there is great growth opportunity for the series. The Haupert’s strategic investment in our INDYCAR program is another positive indication of the current state of our sport, and further positions us for the future as a longtime partner to Andretti Autosport and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES." said BHA President, Bryan Herta.

Larry and Mark Haupert have been supporters of INDYCAR teams and drivers in the past and this investment represents the next step in their involvement in the sport. “We are beyond excited to partner with Bryan Herta Autosport. It has been a lifelong dream of our family to participate in this capacity. The opportunity to join forces with Bryan Herta was a no-brainer. The team’s past successes speak volumes and we look forward to working with the BHA team to contribute to the future," commented Larry Haupert.

Entering their 11th year of competition, BHA will again co-enter the #98 U.S. Concrete Honda w/Curb Agajanian IndyCar driven by Marco Andretti with Andretti Autosport. In a collaboration that began in 2016 and included Alexander Rossi’s dramatic victory in the Indianapolis 500, BHA and Andretti Autosport remain committed to one another and their partners for the future.
