A word from the President
As of April 22, 2002 AutoRacing1.com became available to subscribers only. We pulled AutoRacing1.com out of the field of business based on Internet advertising into one that caters to our readers who agree AutoRacing1.com is worth the price of a subscription. In doing so, we are following the trend of many other websites becoming subscription-based and free of annoying pop-up ads.
For our initial three years we provided our customers a free service. The cost to do this was covered by its owners. One of our strengths is that we are not dependent on advertisers (for the most part) and work hard to satisfy our readers. In order to become better, we have decided to evolve into a subscription based online magazine.
Many of you probably cancelled some of the print
magazines you used to subscribe to with the advent of the internet, because the
internet is so much more immediate and timely. Because of technology, we
can bring you the news much faster than a print publication. Articles,
reports, commentary, images, and fellow racing enthusiasts to debate with
online - we try to bring it all to you, and pledge to do even better.
All revenue generated for this service will be plowed back into AutoRacing1.com - - web servers, programmers, travel expenses, hosting, and the like. When you purchase a subscription, you have our promise that we remain independent and committed only to you, our customer. Not to anyone but you. For those of you who know us, you know we can be controversial at times, sometimes even politically incorrect, but we say it like we see it without outside influence to temper what we really mean to say.
