NASCAR up on NBCSN?

The actual numbers show they are down, but NBCSN says they are up!

.@NBCSports says that through eight @NASCAR Cup Series races on @NBCSN so far this year, it's averaging 2.499 million viewers, up 5% from the first eight races on NBCSN last year (2.383 million).
