Penske re-signs Power and Castroneves

According to sources in Brazil, Brazilian driver Helio Castroneves has re-signed with Penske and is guaranteed for the 2012 Indy Racing League season. The signing supposedly took place more than two weeks, during the Japanese race at the Motegi circuit.

The official announcement of the new contract should happen by the end of the season in the United States. The American option exercised by the team indicates only one more year of commitment. However, the parties talking again in 2012 and not ruled out the continuation of Castroneves at Penske from the 2013 season.

Roger Penske is also said to have re-signed Australian driver Will Power.
