No. 38 Jackman Treated and Released from Hospital

Sean Irvan, the jackman for the No. 38 Long John Silver's Ford team of Front Row Motorsports, was treated and released from Martinsville (Va.) Memorial Hospital after being hit on pit road during Sunday's Tums Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

Irvan, a native of Monterey, Calif., suffered a concussion, a neck strain and a medial collateral ligament strain in his right knee. He suffered the neck and knee injuries and lost consciousness as a result of being hit by the No. 5 car of Mark Martin on pit road during a pit stop early in the race. Irvan was transported by ambulance to the hospital after an initial evaluation in the infield care center. X-rays and a CT scan performed at the hospital were negative for more severe injuries.
