Iowa Speedway not on 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series Schedule
Some disappointing news on Friday for racing fans in the state of Iowa.
The 2021 schedule for the NASCAR Xfinity Series was released today, and the Iowa Speedway was not on it.
Iowa Speedway also said they don’t anticipate to be on the NASCAR Camping World Truck series schedule either.
In a press release, the Speedway said they understand fans will be disappointed, and if you bought tickets assuming NASCAR would be coming next year, you can request a full refund.

The 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule was recently released, and it did not include a stop at Iowa Speedway. In addition, while the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series dates for 2021 have yet to be announced, it is not anticipated that the track will host a race in that series either.
These are all difficult decisions as schedules are formulated, especially during the times we are in. We understand your disappointment as we know you have been a loyal patron of Iowa Speedway. We also value your support and devotion to NASCAR, and hope that will continue.
At this juncture it’s hard to determine what will happen from a scheduling standpoint for 2022 and beyond. Working with NASCAR and our partners, we will continue to look at what potential opportunities might exist, and we will keep you updated.
Customers who purchased tickets for next year, assuming NASCAR was returning in 2021 will receive a refund for your original purchase amount. If you requested a 2020 NASCAR event credit on to your account, you will also receive a refund for your original purchase amount. Customers who purchased via credit card will receive the refund on to the credit card. Customers who purchased via cash or check will receive the refund via a check in the mail. Refund processing could take up 30-45 days.
