Formula 1 News: Norris tops final practice for 2025 GP of Canada
Lando Norris (pictured), driving the superior McLaren-Mercedes turned a lap of 1m11.799s to top final practice for the 2025 GP of Canada at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.

Charles Leclerc, who crashed his #16 Ferrari on Friday, turned the 2nd fastest lap, 0.078s behind Norris.
George Russell, who topped Practice 2, was third, 0.151s behind Norris in his #63 Mercedes.
Lewis Hamilton was 4th quick in the #44 Ferrari, 0.251s behind Norris.
Max Verstappen rounded out the top-5 in the Red Bull sled, 0.273s behind Norris. Verstappen continues to carry the RB21 sled on his back. How bad is the sled? His teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, was dead last, 1.774s behind Norris and 1.5s behind Verstappen. The car is what one would describe as a real ‘pig.’
A smooth session for Norris who is carrying that suspension upgrade that is supposed to make the car more to his personal liking.
Piastri is not running the new suspension – but his session was compromised when he touched the Wall of Champions. How much of a hit has his confidence taken? He wound up just eighth
Tsunoda could be in trouble – Race Control have flagged something he did under red flags earlier on. That could be investigated between the sessions if it is deemed necessary, so we’ll fill you in a little later on what happens there.
