IndyCar: Newgarden Tops Delayed Practice at WWTR
Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden returned to his comfort zone on the 1.25-mile oval at WWTR by topping the delayed practice session. His fastest lap was 25.2465s.
His teammate, Scott McLaughlin, was second fastest with a time of 25.2597s.
David Malukas, driver of the No. 4 AJ Foyt Enterprises Chevrolet, had the third fastest lap with a time of 25.3014s.
Alex Palou, the championship points leader, was fourth fastest, recording a lap time of 25.3498s.
Arrow McLaren’s Pato O’Ward rounded out the top five with a lap of 25.3532s.
