Formula 1 News: Leclerc tops Practice 3 for 2025 British GP

No. 16 Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc (pictured) turned a lap of 1m25.498s to top final practice for the 2025 British GP at Silverstone.

In what was a close high-speed seat of the pants’ session, Leclerc nipped the superior #81 McLaren of Oscar Piastri by 0.068s.

Max Verstappen continued to work miracles with the Red Bull RB21 sled with the third-fastest time, 0.087s behind Leclerc.

Lando Norris was 4th fastest in the #4 superior McLaren, 0.108s behind his teammate.

Yuki Tsunoda, in his best performance so far for the Red Bull ‘A’ team, rounded out the top-5, 0.606s behind Leclerc.

The session ended 1-minute early when Gabriel Bortoleto lost control of his Sauber, ran over the grass and broke his left front suspension.

Oliver Bearman also ran out of talent at the end of the session, crashing his Haas on the pit lane entrance. Replays showed that Bearman locked up on the pit lane entrance on cold brakes and spun into the barriers, breaking the nose of his Haas.
