NASCAR News: Trackhouse hires Meredith as President of Racing Operations

Trackhouse Racing announced today it has hired longtime industry veteran Todd Meredith to serve as its President of Racing Operations.

Team owner and founder Justin Marks said Meredith began his duties on Monday, marking a strengthening of the team’s leadership.

The team’s existing competition leaders will remain in their roles and report to Meredith.

“We’re thrilled to welcome someone of Todd’s caliber and experience to help guide Trackhouse from the top,” said Marks. “His focus on culture, strategy, quick decision making and organization will be a massive shot in the arm for this company as we navigate a pivotal growth period in the history of Trackhouse Racing.”

Meredith joined Joe Gibbs Racing in 1992 and played a key role in its growth into a championship organization. His work included managing internal operations and overseeing people and processes. He served as Chief Operating Officer from 2013 until 2016.
Meredith, 56, said he looks forward to returning to the Cup Series garage and helping Trackhouse Racing.

“I feel at home in NASCAR and wanted to return in some form,” Meredith said. “The more I talked with Justin, the more I was excited by his vision of Trackhouse Racing. The team is very talented and quite successful, as you have seen in the last few months, but we want even more.”

Marks said all business, marketing, and partner relationships will continue to operate under Chief Revenue Officer Andrew Lukanich.
The Trackhouse Racing story has been a meteoric rise in world motorsports. It began competition in 2021 as a single-car race team with Mexican driver Daniel Suárez behind the wheel. Since then, the team has expanded to three full-time Cup Series drivers and achieved success both on and off the track, posting 12 victories while reaching out to the non-traditional NASCAR audience, attracting new sponsors, and employing a fresh approach in its marketing and social media.

That on-track success has continued in 2025, with Ross Chastain winning at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May and Shane Van Gisbergen winning in Mexico in June plus consecutive wins in July at the Chicago Street Circuit and at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway.
