TV News: Weekend USA Motorsports TV Viewers/TV Ratings (Update)

The NASCAR TV viewers for this past weekend have now been added. Similar to IndyCar, NASCAR viewership continued to plummet as race fans increasingly migrate to Formula 1.

TV Viewers for this past weekend – NASCAR raced in Sonoma this past weekend where Shane Van Gisbergen took the Cup regulars to school, and IndyCar held a double header on the Iowa Short Oval where hardly anyone showed up to watch.

IndyCar 

Fox TV earned 576,000 viewers for Saturday’s IndyCar race at Iowa, down 48.6% from 1.121 million on NBC in 2023.

Fox TV earned 719,000 viewers for Sunday’s IndyCar race at Iowa, down 16.6% from 862,000 in 2024 on NBC, and down 31.8% from 1,055 million in 2023 on NBC.

NASCAR

TNT Sports and Tru TV got a 1.09 rating with 2.189 million viewers for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, that is down 24.4% from 2.896 million last year on FOX TV
