Despite going head-to-head with the NASCAR race in Martinsville and the NFL, ABC drew 1.5 million TV viewers for the race-only portion of the 2025 Mexico City GP last Sunday, up 10% over the 2024 race. It was the largest TV audience to ever watch the event on record.

538,000 viewers (36%) in the all-important 18-49 age group tuned in, dwarfing NASCAR.

F1 races are averaging 1.3 million viewers in 2025, despite most races being on cable TV in the wee hours of Sunday morning when half the country is still asleep.
