WEC News:Team Peugeot TotalEnergies confirms its race and development drivers for 2026
Following the final round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship and the Rookie Test held in Bahrain in early November, Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has confirmed its roster of race and test/development drivers for the 2026 FIA WEC season.
British driver Paul Di Resta (39) and Frenchman Loïc Duval (43), the most experienced members of Team Peugeot TotalEnergies with 26 starts each, will both return for a fourth full FIA WEC season.
Team Peugeot TotalEnergies will also rely on its young talents, Dane Malthe Jakobsen (22) and Frenchman Théo Pourchaire (22), who both demonstrated tremendous potential during their rookie year with the Lions in 2025.
Belgian driver Stoffel Vandoorne (33) resumes his place within Team Peugeot TotalEnergies, continuing to contribute his knowledge and performance, two qualities already showcased by New Zealander Nick Cassidy (31) during his two test sessions at the wheel of the PEUGEOT 9X8, including the Bahrain Test, where he set the second-fastest time of the day.
These six full-time race drivers will be supported by two test and development drivers: Jean-Eric Vergne (35) and Alex Quinn (24). Quinn discovered the PEUGEOT 9X8 during the Bahrain Rookie Test earlier this month.
Team Peugeot TotalEnergies will announce the complete #93 and #94 driver pairings for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship early next year. Stay tuned!

“For 2026, we are confirming a solid and well-balanced line-up of six full-season drivers, combining youth and experience. Loïc and Paul, who have been with us since the start of the program, remain our pillars, their expertise and dedication continue to play a key role in our success.
We also welcome Nick, who will make his FIA WEC debut in 2026 and has already demonstrated impressive speed in other championships, as well as Stoffel, who knows the team very well. Their talent and experience will be valuable assets.
Malthe, after a very strong first season with us, continues to show great potential, and Théo impressed in his first race in Bahrain, both represent the quality of young talent within our program.
We’re also pleased to welcome Alex, whose Rookie Test in Bahrain showcased both his performance and his motivation to progress at the highest level. He will be supported in his development driver role by Jean-Eric, whom we had already confirmed for 2026.”
