This marks the ninth city to host the immersive experience and the second in Latin America following Buenos Aires, building on successful runs in locations like Madrid, Vienna, London, Toronto, Oberhausen, Amsterdam, and most recently Melbourne.
Mexico’s passion for Formula 1 is undeniable, with the country boasting 48 million fans and the Mexican Grand Prix selling out every year since its return to the calendar. The exhibition arrives just in time to amp up the excitement ahead of the 2026 Grand Prix at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, where local hero Sergio Pérez will race for the new Cadillac team—his first home Grand Prix since 2024.
Spanning over 2,000 square meters across six specially designed rooms, the exhibition promises a deep dive into the high-octane world of Formula 1, crafted in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists, and filmmakers. Visitors, whether die-hard fans or newcomers, will get a front-row seat to the sport’s history, technology, and drama.
A highlight of the Mexico City edition is a new room dedicated to the country’s motorsport heritage, spotlighting its iconic track and stars like Pérez. Fans can relive epic moments through the Pit Wall, an immersive cinematic experience that brings Formula 1’s greatest triumphs to life. The Once Upon A Time In Formula 1 gallery features rare photography, historic cars, audiovisual content, and artifacts from the sport’s most defining eras.
Dive deeper in the Design Lab, where you’ll uncover the secrets of how teams engineer their cutting-edge cars each season. Drivers & Duels honors legendary rivalries, iconic drivers, and historic races dating back to 1950. The exhibition also includes poignant tributes: Fallen Heroes remembers those who lost their lives in pursuit of victory, while Survival recounts Romain Grosjean’s harrowing 2020 Bahrain crash, complete with the remains of his Haas car, exclusive interviews, and unseen footage.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “Since Formula 1 Exhibition’s debut in Madrid in 2023, the show has gone from strength to strength to attract over 1 million visitors. We are excited to continue to bring the story and history of Formula 1 to our fans and those new to the sport. Mexico City is a vibrant cultural hub with a true passion for motorsport, so it made perfect sense for it to be the next stop on the Latin American tour.”
Jonathan Linden, Co-CEO of Round Room Live and producer of the exhibition, added: “We are delighted to announce Mexico City as the next host city of The Formula 1 Exhibition. Each edition recognises the local heritage and local heroes of its host location, and this will be no exception, celebrating the region’s deep connection to Formula 1.”
With its blend of education, entertainment, and emotion, the Formula 1 Exhibition is poised to ignite even greater fervor for the sport in Mexico, offering a unique off-track adventure that complements the thrill of race weekends.
