Formula 1 News: Rob Marshall Designed McLaren MCL40 hits the track in Barcelona

With only the morning forecast to be dry before the rain hits the Barcelona Circuit, the superior Rob Marshall designed McLaren MCL40 hit the track on Wednesday morning of the first week of 2026 Formula 1 preseason testing.

Marshall is by far the best designer in Formula 1 today, and it’s expected that the MCL40 will be the superior Formula 1 car once again in 2026.

Today’s a much busier day out in Barcelona (as expected) after only Red Bull and Ferrari ran yesterday.

McLaren along with Mercedes, Racing Bulls, Alpine, Haas and Audi are out on track so far.

Red Bull only has one day of running left. The Adrian Newey designed Aston Martin is not yet ready.
