ELMS News: Jack Doohan joins Nielsen Racing for endurance debut

Nielsen Racing completes its 2026 European Le Mans Series lineup with the signing of Jack Doohan (pictured), who will join the team’s #24 LMP2 Oreca.

Jack will make his sportscar debut at the 4 Hours of Barcelona in April, the opening round of the 2026 ELMS season, as he transitions into endurance racing alongside his TGR Haas F1 Team Reserve Driver commitments.

The Australian arrives with an impressive résumé, having stepped into Formula 1 in 2024 and competed in six Grands Prix during the 2025 season. He continues on the F1 grid in 2026 with Haas, following a standout 10-year junior career that included finishing in the top-three in the FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 Championships.

“I’m really excited to be back racing in 2026 and to be joining Nielsen Racing for my first season in LMP2. It’s a new challenge with a lot to learn, but I’m confident we’ll get up to speed quickly with such a strong team around me.With Roy Nissany and Ed Pearson, we have a great mix of experience and hunger, and I’m looking forward to building strong chemistry and pushing for results. The Oreca 07 is a fantastic car and a very different challenge, and I can’t wait to get started in the European Le Mans Series.” Jack Doohan

For his ELMS campaign, Jack will partner the previously announced Ed Pearson and Roy Nissany in Nielsen Racing’s #24 LMP2 entry.

The #24 crew completes Nielsen Racing’s full-season lineup, with Alex Quinn, James Allen and Kriton Lentoudis set to compete in the team’s #27 Pro/Am entry, as the team targets a strong 2026 European Le Mans Series campaign.
