Mick Schumacher was back on track after the team replaced his engine last night. But after ten minutes into the session for Group B, he made contact with the tire barrier in Turn 3. That ended practice for the rookie who could have used some time on the track that is new to him.

The 27-year-old was seen and release by the INDYCAR Medical Unit.  He stated that the hit was soft and that he was fine.  He feels pretty good in the car and is not worried about the lack of practice time.

After the Group B session resumed, Romain Grosjean made contact with the wall in Turn 1 on both the front and the back of his car.  This ended the session.

The Firestone Fast Six Qualifying is scheduled for 3:30 pm PT.
