Honda driver Sato

From zero to hero. That was the story of Takuma Sato (Honda) who was blamed for a 5-car first lap accident last weekend in the Pocono 500, turned it all around this weekend to win the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at Gateway in a near photo finish. Ed Carpenter almost caught Sato at the line but came up short by 0.0399s.

Tony Kanaan got the first podium position for AJ Foyt Racing in a long time. Rookie Santino Ferrucci (Honda), who led the most laps, came home 4th.
