Look for Matthew Brabham to drive for Andretti in next weekend's Miami ePrix

AutoRacing1 is hearing Matthew Brabham will likely be behind the wheel of an Andretti Formula E car in next weekend's Miami ePrix.

The Mazda Road to Indy standout ran for the team earlier this season at Putrajaya and Punta del Este, recording a best finish of 13th at Putrajaya.

Brabham is one of five drivers the team has fielded through 4 ePrix. Charles Pic and Franck Montagny ran the opener at Beijing, where Montagny finished second, and Pic fourth. Montagny also ran at Putrajaya before being indefinitely suspended after testing positive for a derivative of cocaine.

Ferrari test driver Jean-Eric Vergne has run the last two ePrix for the team, scoring pole in Punta del Este, and will drive for the team again in Miami.

Verizon IndyCar Series driver Marco Andretti competed in the most recent race in Buenos Aires, and was originally expected to run Miami. However, IndyCar testing duties mean Andretti will not be in the cockpit this weekend.

We anticipate that nod will go to Brabham. Look for confirmation in the coming days.
