Alonso tops qualifying day rookie warm-up

In the cool of the morning before the track heats up, McLaren Chevy driver Fernando Alonso turned his fastest lap of the month and led the rookie class

Alonso's fast lap and non-tow lap were identical at 228.065 mph, but can he repeat it in the heat of the day?

RLL's Jordan King was 2nd quick at 227.198 mph.

Dead last and still struggling were the two Carlin Chevys with Max Chilton totally out to lunch at only 212.974 mph.
