Herta tops test session 2 at Indy

In a rain interrupted session that was forced to end 15 min. short of its allotted time, Colton Herta turned the fastest lap at over 226 mph to lead only 9 drivers that managed to get out on track during the 2nd practice session at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This session was run by rookies and drivers who have had little or no IndyCar seat time this year.

Helio Castroneves, a three time Indy 500 winner, was second. Oriol Servia, who was driving a Arrow Schmidt Petersen car in this session, was third fastest.

Session 3 with all the drivers on track has been rained out.
