NBC NASCAR analyst Steve Letarte for the next two Cup races will "move to the network's pit box, which will be located in the same row as the team pit boxes."
During Saturday's race at Daytona, Letarte will work alone on the pit box as "sort of a middle man between the main booth and NBC's roaming pit reporters."
The NBC box is "very close to the racing surface, potentially bringing a lot of noise into the broadcast when Letarte is on the air." Also new this weekend, Mike Tirico "will be included" in the prerace show. USA TODAY
NBC Rolling Out "SNF" Campaign During NASCAR Coverage
NBC is "revving up its NFL promotional efforts with a new campaign" for "SNF" set to debut during Saturday's coverage of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400.
The "All Eyes On" campaign is an "in-house effort designed to prime the pump" for the '18 NFL season. The initial 30-second spot features Saints QB Drew Brees, Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger and Patriots S Devin McCourty as they "exhort their teammates to put on a show for TV's biggest primetime audience."
The ad is "set to premiere" at around 7:40pm ET and "air as many as three times" during the race. The campaign "will evolve throughout the NFL season," with the next executions "expected to appear in August" (ADAGE.com
