UPDATE The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Fontana drew a 2.41 'final' rating with 4.03 million viewers on FOX, down 14% from last year's 3.16 (5.188 million viewers) down 40% from a final rating of 4.0 just 2 years ago also on Fox. Only 962,000 between the critical age of 18 and 49 tuned in – the age of people with the most buying power.

The 'final' rating for the Xfinity race at Fontana was a 0.75 and 1.19 million viewers, down 19.4% from the 0.93 on FS1 with 1.46 million viewers in 2017.

The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Gatornationals had a 0.29 'final' rating and averaged 420,000 viewers on FS1.

03/19/18 NASCAR's early-season ratings woes continued yesterday, as the Monster Energy Cup Series Auto Club 400 drew a record low overnight on Fox. The network drew a 2.4 overnight for the late afternoon race from Southern California, down 17% from a 2.9 last year.
